Description
The Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for non-tenure track faculty position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership contributing to the advancement of patient care and nursing scholarship within the School of Nursing and the Center for Healthy Aging Research, Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. This individual will become a valued faculty member of the Division of Nursing Science and will work closely with the Center for Healthy Aging Research. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with scholarly achievements including funded research and publication record, as well as other relevant professional experience. The position will be based in either Newark and or New Brunswick, NJ.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the expertise and commitment to advance nursing science through research in healthy aging, teaching excellence, advisement and mentorship of DNP students, and potentially undergraduates and MS students as well. We are seeking visionary scientists who will make solid contributions to the academic life of the School. We offer highly competitive salaries and benefits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Registered Nurse with unencumbered license in the state of NJ
- Doctorate in an area of expertise or focus of program of research, that links to our educational mission and vision.
- Demonstrated expertise and scholarship in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease
- Demonstrated expertise and scholarship in population-based studies
- Skill at grant writing as evidence by contributing to extramural support for research.
- Expertise in teaching and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students
- Interest and demonstrated expertise in teaching identified courses that complement the programs of study at the School of Nursing.
- Maintains visibility as a nursing leader by serving on state, regional, or national professional committees or boards.
